Which Quran course should my child start with?
Most beginners start with Noorani Qaida, which teaches Arabic letters, Makharij and joining rules. Once your child reads letters and words confidently, they move to Quran Reading with Tajweed and later to Hifz or Tafseer. A tutor assesses the level in the free trial class and recommends the right starting point.
Can adults learn the Quran online from scratch?
Yes. Adults and teenagers can begin with Noorani Qaida at their own pace in private 1-on-1 lessons, then continue to Tajweed, translation or Arabic. Female tutors are available for women.
How long does it take to learn to read the Quran online?
It depends on age, practice time and how often classes are held. Noorani Qaida usually takes about 2 to 6 months, after which students begin reading the Quran with Tajweed. Complete Hifz typically takes 2 to 4 years of regular study and revision.
Do you offer online Quran classes for kids in the USA, UK, Canada and Australia?
Yes. Classes are live 1-on-1 video lessons, and timings are arranged around your time zone, school and work schedule, so families in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia and worldwide can join.
Are female Quran teachers available for girls and women?
Yes. Both certified male and female tutors are available. Mention your preference when you enroll and we will match you with a suitable teacher.
How does the 3-day free trial work?
Book a trial, meet a tutor in a live video class, check the audio, video and teaching method, and see how your child feels about learning. No credit card is required.
What is the difference between Nazra, Tajweed and Hifz?
Nazra is reading the Quran from the text. Tajweed is the set of rules for pronouncing every letter correctly. Hifz is memorizing the Quran. At Online Quran ilm Academy, Nazra is taught together with Tajweed in the Quran Reading course, while Hifz is a separate structured program.
What do I need to join online Quran classes?
A computer, tablet or phone with a camera and microphone, a stable internet connection and a quiet corner. Headphones help children focus. We guide you through the setup before the first class.
How will I know my child is making progress?
Parents receive a progress report every month covering what was learned, strengths and areas to practise. Tutors also share short feedback after lessons.
